Chesapeake – Mary Lee Parker, 96, of the 5200 block of Dorothy Ct., departed this life June 25, 2010. Born in Edgecombe, North Carolina, she was employed at the pickle plant for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Parker. Survivors include her daughter, Constance Keel of Norfolk and her son, Rev. James E. Parker (Lynn) of Chesapeake, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas A.M. E. Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
