Mike Sutton Holley, 96, of Chesapeake, VA was called home to be with the Lord January 15, 2016. Born in Edenton, North Carolina, he was employed by the Norfolk Naval Supply and City of Chesapeake until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of Lee's Chapel AME Church, Chesapeake, VA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Holloway Holley; his parents Joe and Frances Holley; one sister, Bertha Dickerson, and four bothers Joe, William, George and Ennus Holley.

Survivors include four daughters, Corlis Jefferson, Wanda Lyles (Levi), Lelia Lee (Milton), and Sonja Johnson (Rick); four sisters, Ella Hopson, Linel Lassiter, Ethel Harrell (Harry) and Annie Freeman; one brother James Holley and a sister-in-law Claudette Holley; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Lee's Chapel AME Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences will be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
