Norfolk
– Mildred Walker Cheek, 87, of the 2200 block of Barraud Avenue departed this life May 8, 2008. Born in Princess Anne County, she was employed as a salesperson until her retirement.
She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Ethel Walker. Survivors include her son, Vernon Cheek of Indianapolis and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Money Point. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 3 pm – 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
