Our beloved Mildred Lee Elliott was born on June 4, 1931, to Charlie Walston and Mary Walston-Valentine in Norfolk County. On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, our family circle was broken when she peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Mildred lived a long life on Earth with us spreading wonderful energy. She was a homemaker and a mother. She enjoyed reading her bible, making music, dancing, crosswords and great food with cornbread on the side.

Mildred was predeceased by her daughter Lena Cowan and sons Ronnie Walston and Eddie Holmes, Jr., her sister and brother Mary Harris and Charlie Walston, Jr., and her mother Mary Walson-Valentine. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons Tony Henderson, Curtis Holmes and Jeffery Holmes; son-in-law Jerry Cowan, grandkids Tonya Harper (Gabriel) and Reggie Homes, great grandkids Lamonta Holmes, Chadena Cumberbatch (Akeem), Tyasia Tompkins (Paul) and Rayjon Holmes; great grandkids Maddie Holmes, Mason Stokes and Azaiah Cumberbatch and last but not least nephews (3), other family and relatives.

A graveside service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery
