Norfolk - Mildred Sutton, 82, of the 200 block of South Newtown Road departed this life November 23, 2006. Born in North Carolina, she was a sale associate for Gayle's Wigs and Things in Norfolk until her retirement. A long time member of the St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church, she was a member of the Steward Board where she served as secretary and president, and active in the bus ministry.



She is survived by her sons, Everett T. Feemster (Geneva) of Marshall, VA and Rev. Charlie Benson (Jannie) of Chesapeake, one granddaughter, Monique Mangrum (Willard) of Maryland, three grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Friday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Thomas A.M.E.Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing willl be held Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
