Rev. Milford G. Rhodes, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2017. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late Milford Rhodes, Sr. and Emma Jones Rhodes. He was a 1965 graduate of Crestwood High School. He is survived by his daughters, Morgan Rhodes, Melani Rhodes and Aimee  Rhodes. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Julian(Danielle), Dashad, Zana, Khayla, Caleb, D'Aaron, Jaylen, Zuri and Zion, and especially his two great grandsons Dorian and Aydrian.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7th at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 5405 Roanoke Avenue, Newport News. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner's Road, Suffolk.

The family will receive guests at 500 Henderson Street, Portsmouth on Wednesday, July 5th. Viewing will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, July 6th at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake.
