Norfolk - Minnie B. Wardrick went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 20, 2008. Born September 12, 1914 in Franklin County, North Carolina to the late Henry and Caroline Thomas, she attended schol in North Carolina and moved to Norfolk in 1944. She received the Lord at a very early age. She married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Wardrick in 1937, and from that union 5 children were born.





She is survived by her five children, Nell Mitchell, Louise Alston, Robert (Carolyn), Raymond (Roslyn), and Calvin (Gwen); twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.





A homegoing service will be held noon Wednesday at New Saint Mark Church, 607 Walker Avenue in Noroflk, with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 2pm - 7pm Tuesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
