– Moses N. Edmonds, 93, of the 600 block of Tuskegee Avenue went to his eternal resting place August 6, 2008 at the VA Medical Hospital in Hampton.
He was the son of the late Moses and Virginia Edmonds. He served his country in World War II as a Corporal in the United States Army. Moses retired from the Naval Communications Depot at St. Julius Creek after more than 30 years of loyal service. He attended Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ where he served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucille B. Edmonds; two daughters, Wanda E. Skinner of Chesapeake, and Yolanda Edmonds of Virginia Beach; two sons, Nathaniel Edmonds and Moses Edmonds, III of Chesapeake; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Edmonds of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held noon Tuesday at Cathedral of Faith Church of God In Christ. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 2pm - 7pm Monday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
