Chesapeake - On September 9, 2006 at Chesapeake General Hospital, Mother Gertrude Blanchard Smith departed this life to live again with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.



She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sarah Smith Norfleet, three grandchildren, Annette Gray (Larry), Robert Norfleet (Sabine), and Andre Norfleet (Zenobia), five great grandchildren, Jessica Gardin (William), Priscilla Norfleet, Ali Gray (Pamela), Iman and Samirah Norfleet, four great-great grandchildren, Nagee Gray and Carynington Hocutt, William and Janiya Gardin, two sisters, Elnora Corprew, and Johnetta O?Neal, and a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Holiness Church in Oakgrove, Chesapeake, VA, Elder Paul Arrington, Pastor, presiding. Burial will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
