Nakita Jenell Jenkins, 31, of the 1100 block of Rugby Street, departed his life July 2, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Jav'ion Jenkins; parents, Lennell Jenkins and James E. Harris; fiancé, Demetrist Lee; four sisters, Carmen N. Mills, Niyoka Knight (Jerry), Stephanie Jackson and Shawta Buchanon; one brother, Robert Steward Jr. (Tieon); grandparents, Shirley Watson and Beverly Jenkins, one niece, Nadia Steward; four nephews, Kenyartta Lewis, Jerry Knight Jr., Nysir Brown Jackson, and Shamarion Buchanon; stepfather, Bobby Buchanon and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greeenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday from 3-7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
