Chesapeake – Natalie Turner Staff, 49, of the 300 block of Lancing Way , but spending most of her childhood in Huntsville, Alabama, departed this life Saturday, May 30, 2009. Born in Tennessee, she was a Senior Strategic Policy Planner for 3 years at the United States Joint Forces Command. She was a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Air Force, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

She is predeceased by her father, Cleophas Turner Sr., and brothers, Cleophas Turner Jr. and Harold Turner. Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, John K. Staff of Chesapeake; mother, Cora Turner, sister, Bettye Turner and brother, Martin Turner (Robbie) all of Alabama, two nieces, Shvonne Turner of Georgia and Tiffany Turner of Alabama; her father-in-law, Malvin Staff, sisters-in-law, Barbara Staff and Mary Arthur all of Grambling, LA, and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Huntsville, Alabama. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Garden of Peace, Mt. Lebanon Road, Toney, Alabama.
