Chesapeake - Nelson Lee Dixon departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and was a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill.

He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Brite of Chesapeake and Nelnita Jones of Virginia Beach; five sons, Kelly Dixon of California, Steven Brite and Nelson White of Chesapeake and Neltron Shaw of Norfolk. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Benthall and sister, Eula Dixon. He is also survived by his mother, Alice D. Heckstall of Chesapeake; two sisters, Deloyd Hinton of Norfolk and Antionette K. Lampkin of Virginia Beach; fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church South Hill. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 3-7pm Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
