Chesapeake - Odney Marie Turner, 67, of the 400 block of Ivy Crescent departed this life January 1, 2007. Born in Ridgeway, North Carolina, she was a member of First Baptist Church West Munden, where she served on the #2 Usher Board.



She is survived by her husband, Douglas Turner, Sr. of Chesapeake; one daughter Doretha Spruill (Carlton) of Chesapeake; three sons, Mac D. Turner (Christina) of Chesapeake, Douglas Turner, Jr. (Carolyn) of Portsmouth, and Roger L. Turner of Chesapeake; two sisters, Daisy Russell of New York, Gwendolyn Watkins (Raymond) of New Jersey; two brothers, Bobby Boyd  (Donna) of New York, and Douglas Boyd (Ruth) of Connecticut; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two aunts, one uncle, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church West Munden. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday from 2pm until 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
