Otis "Dick" Butts, Jr., 85, of Norfolk, VA died on Monday, April 3, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born October 14, 1931, Dick was a devoted husband, loving father and a good provider. He was well known and loved. He was also very friendly and outgoing. He loved sports and all kinds of music. He attended the Indian River Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses as an unbaptized publisher.

He was predeceased by his parents, Otis Butts, Sr., and Geneva Nichols Butts. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Delores H. Butts, one daughter, Carol D. Butts, one son, Linwood S. Butts, and three grandchildren, Precious Butts, Natalie Pittman and Monta Smith; two sisters, Iola Baker of Norfolk, and Helen Haggins of Chesapeake, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where viewing will be Friday from 6-8pm. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
