On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 1:30PM our loved one, Patricia V. Phillips was called to her Heavenly home after a brief illness.

Patricia was born on July 10, 1970, in Frankfurt, Germany to George L. Higgins Sr. and Mary L. Higgins. Patricia was the second youngest of ten children. Patricia grew up in the Hickory section of Chesapeake. She graduated from Great Bridge High School as a member of the class of 1988. She continued her education at Tidewater Community College earning her Associates Degree in Applied Science.

She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior. She attended Gabriel Chapel A.M.E Zion Church and Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.

Patricia worked and retired from the U.S. Government with 30 years of service working for NADEP, HRO Norfolk, OCHR and Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Patricia's enjoyed traveling, laughing, playing jokes, telling people how much she loved them, and loving her family and fur babies.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents George L. Higgins Sr. And Mary L. Higgins; brothers Darryl Higgins, and George Higgins Jr., and nephew Elijah Quesenberry. She will be remembered by her daughters Jamie Jones and Jazmine Phillips, daughter-in-law Cory Jones, sisters Adriane Hudson, Mary Harper(Samuel), Monique Quesenberry (Michael), Tira Higgins, Diann Lawrence(Ronald), and Gloria Hannon (Jimmy), brother Dennis Higgins (Doretha), and step-mother Helen Higgins. She will also be remembered by her maternal aunts Trusanna Dickerson, and Grizella Winston; best friend Arlandra Taylor, her fur babies, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Vieiwng will be from 5pm until 7pm Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
