Chesapeake – Queenie D. Jones, a native of Chesapeake, left for her eternal resting place on June 7, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends. Born July 4, 1951 to Milton and Annie Mae Norman, she was employed by the City of Chesapeake for more than 20 years in the Environmental Service Department.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Emika Bridgers (Joseph) of Norfolk, and Chevelle Jones (Fiancé, Harold) of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Keira and Daquane Bridgers of Norfolk, Demetri and Shyheim Jones of Chesapeake and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at Philadelphia Church of God in Christ, 921 Canal Drive, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
