Reginald Carl Morris, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born in Norfolk, VA, on August 1, 1956, to the late Henry Jefferson Morris and the late Dorothy Mae Wilson Morris.

Reginald was a graduate of Granby High School and attended Norfolk State University. He was Honorably Discharged after serving 4 years in the US Army and went on to serve in the Army National Guard. Reginald retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he worked as a Lead Rigger after 35 years of service.

Reginald received Jesus Christ and was baptized at New Light Full Gospel Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Karen R. Mason Morris on October 7, 1981, and to their union two children were born, Tiffany and Reggie.

In addition to his parents, Reginald was predeceased by two brothers, James Bembry and Michael Morris. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 43 years Karen R. Morris, children Tiffany N. Morris and Reginald C. Morris, Jr.; brothers Vern Morris (Jane) and Joseph Morris (Brenda), sisters Michelle Walls (William), Sharon Harris and Wanda Morris; sisters-in-law Toni Smaw-Bembry, Pamela Lassiter (Robert) and Michele Mason; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at St. Joseph AME Zion Church, 1540 Atlantic Avenue, Chesapeake, where viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am the day of the service.
