Richard Artelia Griffin, Jr. (82), affectionately known as Teeny, peacefully transitioned from earth to glory on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife, Pattie L. Griffin; granddaughter, Precilla R. Griffin; parents, Louise and Richard A. Griffin, Sr.; and brother, Meredith L. Griffin. Richard is survived by his son, Richard A. Griffin III (Regina); daughter, Patrice L. Griffin (Travis); 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 7 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, VA. The homegoing service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church, 1540 Atlantic Avenue, Chesapeake, VA. Richard will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
