Norfolk - Robert Lee Brinson, Sr., 89, of the 200 block of E. Indian Road departed this life November 14, 2011. Born in Newbern, North Carolina, he was a bricklayer for over 65 years until his retirement. He was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Worker's Union.

He is predeceased by his wife, Argentina C. Brinson. Survivor include three daughters, Joy B. Brinson, Argentina Brinson Eason and Thearora Brinson; three sons, Robert L. Brinson Jr., Joel Brinson and Michael E. Brinson all of Norfolk; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 3pm – 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
