Rodney L. Massey, Sr., 55, passed away August 1, 2015 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Delphina Massey; 2 children, Rodney Massey, Jr. and Darlene Massey; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Sylvia Massey, all of Chesapeake; and 9 siblings: Rhonda M. Dozier (Christopher) and Kirk Lewis (Angela) of Virginia Beach, Roy Massey, Jr. (Madre) of Norfolk, Harold Massey (Brenda) of Philadelphia, PA, Karen M. John (Dominic, Jr.) of Colorado Springs, CO, Phyllis M. Williams (Ovid, Sr.), Sherri M. McCoy and Adrienne M. Thompson (Antonio), all of Chesapeake.

Viewing and visitation will be held 4-7p.m. Thursday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Friday at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.petlowandsons.com.
