Chesapeake - Roscoe C. Pretlow, Jr.,75, of the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue departed this life on January 15, 2013. Born in Norfolk, he was employed with the Norfolk City School Board until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church and a veteran of the US Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Esther G. Pretlow , sons, Roscoe, Richard and Lester, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church, Chesapeake, where viewing will be held from 9 am -11 am the day of the service. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Suffolk. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
