Chesapeake – Roy Griffin, "Pork Chop", 61, of the 1100 block of Fontana Avenue departed this life August 19, 2011. He was employed with the City of Virginia Beach Waste Management for over 15 years.

He is survived by his mother, Mable Griffin; seven sisters, Mable, Evelyn, Betty, Vanessa Griffin, Cathy Riddick (Maurice), Cynthia Brooks (Michael) all of Chesapeake and Wanda Riddick (Rayfield) of Virginia Beach; one brother, Willie Griffin (Dorothy) of Virginia Beach; one aunt, one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at New Galilee Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 3pm – 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. You may offer condolences to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com .
