Ruby E. Patterson passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 in Chesapeake, Virginia. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she ie preceeded in death by her husband, Eugene James Patterson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Laquetta Joe of Chesapeake, her siblings Leola H. Hubbard (Edward), Margaret D. Rodgers (James), William N. Deaton, Sr (Lornea), and Vanessa D. Backus (Leonard), her sister-n-loves Acquanetta Deaton(Gervan) Savanah, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 232 Chapel St, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk. Viewing will be from 5pm until 7pm Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
