"Tessie"
Norfolk - Born and raised in Norfolk, (Berkley), Russell B. Hockaday "Tessie" departed this life on Sunday, October 29, 2006 after a short illness. He lived a life of service as an Army Sergeant in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He also retired after 35 years at the Norfolk Naval Airstation as an Aircraft Mechanic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clementine D. Hockaday (LOVE); two brothers, Rudolph Hockaday (Rosa), Cleophus Hockaday (Gwen), and sister, Eleanor Davenport; three daughters, Sharon Wilson (Ronald), Roslyn Lewis (Steve), Carolyn Johnson (McCalton), and stepson, Orlando Dalton; thirteen grandchildren, which includes a special grandson, Ronald B. Wilson (Kisha); two great-grandchildren, Riley and Carrington and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
