Chesapeake- Ruth Mae Cuffee, 80, of the 300 block of Spicebush Ct passed away August 17, 2007. She was employed with Farm Fresh for 25 years until her retirement. A member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses, she was a pioneer of the Villa Height's Congregation.
She is predeceased by her husband, Haywood A. Cuffee, and two sons, Melvin Fentress and Joseph Cuffee. Survivors include, three daughters, Alfreda Wilson (George) and Monique L. Cuffee of Chesapeake, and Barbara A. Cuffee of Norfolk; seven sons, Curtis Haqq of Portsmouth, Allen R. Cuffee (Angeline) of Chesapeake, Larry Cuffee (Sherry), Paul Cuffee and Kevin Cuffee of Norfolk, and Darrell Cuffee of Chesapeake; two brothers, Alexander Fentress of Chesapeake and Willie Fentress of Virginia Beach, twenty nine grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held noon Friday at the Kingdom Hal of Jehovah's Witnesses, 645 Mayflower Rd, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
