Chesapeake – Samuel Bright Jr., 49, of the 700 block of Gallbush Road departed this life March 21, 2009 in Sentara Leigh Hospital. Born in Virginia Beach, he was employed at the Elizabeth River Terminal as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of One Love Restoration Ministry.

He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Queen Bright, and his brother, LeSelle (Bud) Bright. Survivors include his wife, Annie Bright of Chesapeake, ten daughters, four sons, twenty grandchildren, five sisters, one brother, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at New Weeping Mary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday 2 pm – 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
