Norfolk – Sarah E. Booker, 85, of the 1800 block of Montclair Avenue departed this life December 13, 2010. Born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, she was a homemaker.

She is predeceased by her husband Leroy Booker. Survivors include her daughter, Juanita L. Knight of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Senika Booker and Michael Knight (Lakisha) and one great grandchild, Marquez Floyd of Norfolk; two sisters, Helen Penaflor of Baltimore, MD and Goldie A. Mapp (David) of Portsmouth; two brothers, Willie Cherry (Elizabeth) of New York and Elder James Idlett of Virginia Beach; a special niece, Wanda and Roger Davis and family of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Friday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive friends at Garden of Prayer, 1001 Church in Norfolk. Viewing will be held Thursday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
