On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, the Lord called our beloved Sarah Elizabeth Lewis home to rest. Sarah was born on September 15, 1956. She was predeceased by her parents Solomon and Mamie Cuffee; brothers, Solomon Cuffee, Jr., Junious Cuffee, Rev. Apolos Cuffee, and John Cuffee; sisters, Gloria Felton and Mamie Brickhouse; and daughter-in-law, Robin Brown Lewis.

Sarah attended Deep Creek High school in Chesapeake, Va. She was a bus driver for the city of Chesapeake school system for 25 years. Sarah enjoyed her position with the school system and often talked about her students with admiration. She was a kind woman with a generous heart. She wasn't just concerned about her own children but other children in the neighborhood, nieces, nephews, and students. She touched the lives of many. Sarah accepted Christ as a young woman. She was member of new Light Baptist Church before later joining Trinity Faith Diamond Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her found memories; husband, Thaddeus Lewis; sons, Thaddeus Colin Lewis, Brian Lewis (Tifany), Justin Lewis (Lastashia); one daughter, Maxine Felton; one sister, Ellen Veale; four grandchildren, Breshaun Bethea, Brian Lewis II, Winston Lewis, and Jaylah Felton; mother-in-law, Mary Spence; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29th, at Trinity Faith Diamond Baptist Church, 1023 Deep Creek Blvd, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 3 to 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home in Chesapeake.
