Shiela Ann Walston, 51, of Chesapeake, Va., died on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Shiela was born to Mamie Jackson in Chicago on February 25, 1964. She graduated from Jones Commercial High School. Sometime after graduation she enrolled in the Navy and moved to Rhode Island. She gave birth to two daughters, Tashana and Tamara. During her time in the Navy she met Ronald Walston then moved to Virginia where she gave birth to her third daughter, Tanetta. Shiela and Ronald were married on December 27, 1994. She had numerous talents from braiding hair to cooking amazing meals but chose to put aside her personal endeavors to cultivate a family centered on love.
Shiela is remembered by her family as a selfless woman with a contagious laugh that always kept a smile no matter her mood. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved to cook, watch television shows and movies and quickly welcomed friends in as a part of her extended family through game nights and other family oriented events.
Shiela is survived by her husband Ronald Walston; three daughters: Tashana Latrice Trotter, Tamara Latricia Trotter, and Tanetta Lynette Walston; mother Mamie Jackson; grandson Jasiah Aarmon Trotter granddaughter Seven Amiracle Grace and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
A memorial service for Shiela will take place on Monday, October 19, 11am at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. A viewing will be held Sunday, October 18 from 1pm-3pm at the funeral home.
