Obituary
Shirley E. Gladdney of the 3300 block of Loam Street departed this life July 6, 2013.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Gladdney. Survivors include two daughters, Inez White (Johnnie) of Norfolk, and Lisa Smith (Thomas) of Suffolk, two sisters, two brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Gabriel Chapel AME Zion Church. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 3 -7 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
