Shirley Mae Jubilee was born November 14, 1952. She was the twelveth child between James and Edna (Satchell) Jubilee of Keller, Virginia. She was predeceased by four sisters, Josephine, Tevolia, Peggy and Doris; four brothers, Lloyd, Connie, Benjamin and William McKinley and one step-grandchild, Cristian Bridges. Shirley was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools and Norfolk State College now Norfolk State University.

In her adult life, Shirley worked as an In School Discipline Coordinator for Chesapeake Public Schools for thirty years, where she remained until she retired. Shirley was a member of Heaven On Earth Ministries, Suffolk, Virginia.

Shirley loved to ride and was always willing to "go". All she needed to know was, " What time you were leaving!"

Shirley quietly departed this life on November 27. 2020 in Chesapeake, Virginia after a brief illness. Shirley will truly be missed. We loved her dearly, but God loved her best. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish sweet memories her daughter Dana (Marvin) Lashley, grandson Kaleb Lashley, fiance George Milteer, sister Diane Scott, three brothers Carroll (Dianne) Jubilee, Charles (Cassandra) Jubilee and James (LeD'rena) Jubilee, the Milteer family, three step grand-children – Brianna Lashley, Tamisa Rivas (Kelvin) and Quinton Lashley and a host of great-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Road, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from 4pm until 5pm Wednesday, Decmber 2, 2020 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake.
