Stanley Kelvin Williams was born on August 4, 1957, in Easton, PA to Dorothy R. Williams and the late Levy Alvin, his father. Stanley was called to glory of peace on May 25, 2024. He was loved by everyone and anyone who knew him. He never had a bad word for anyone. He loved people and talking about the Miami Dolphins.

Stanley honorably served in the United States Navy from February 18, 1955, until he retired on March 31, 1997. He also retired from Norfolk Public Schools in June 2022. Stanley was a member of the Elks of Berkley Lodge #12.

Stanley married Joyce Freeman Williams on July 28, 1984, and to this union they were blessed with two children Zavian Williams and Candis Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife and children; three grandchildren, Deandre, Dayshawn, and Andre Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Kenneth Starnes; brothers-in-law Lawrence Freeman Jr., Michael and Lenell Freeman; a brother Andrew Freeman; an aunt Annie Speight; close cousins William and Gerald Speight, and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 10, 2024, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, where viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am the day of the service. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements.
