IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thaddeus Colin
Lewis, Jr.
February 22, 1976 – January 25, 2021
Thaddeus Colin Lewis Jr. was born on February 22, 1976 to Thaddeus Lewis Sr. and the late Sarah E. Lewis in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was raised in Chesapeake, Virginia on "Strawberry Lane." Colin graduated from Indian River High School in 1994. He was an entrepreneur and owned his own truck driving business with US Services LLC. Colin loved being on the road; driving trucks was his passion. He spent many years building his business and had a goal to expand.
Colin always had a positive outlook on life – he lived his life fully and completely. He had a smile that would light up any room he entered, a smile that will be missed by all who loved him. Colin had many titles, but he was most proud to be called "Uncle Colin." In his words, "Uncle Colin loves the kids." He showed his love for his nieces and nephews through actions and not just his words. The kids could always count on Uncle Colin to show up to a game, recital, awards presentation, or birthday party. He was their number one fan.
Colin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Eagles football fan and could always be found online on Sundays talking trash and rooting for his team.
Colin is predeceased by his mother, Sarah E. Lewis; paternal grandfather, Thaddeus Wilson; and maternal grandparents, Solomon and Mamie Cuffee. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Chevelle Lewis (stepsons Demetri and Shyheim); his father, Thaddeus Lewis; brother, Brian Lewis (Tifany); brother, Justin Lewis (Lastashia); paternal grandmother, Mary Spence; and a host of aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends. Colin played a very special role in the lives of two young men, Bre'Shaun Bethea and Mason Brown. Colin's memory will live on forever through all of those who loved him.
