Chesapeake
– Theodore Melvin Carroll, 73, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd, departed this life December 20, 2009. He was born September 1, 1936 to the late Theodore and Flonzora B. Carroll.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Flonzora B. Carroll, his wife, Eva M. Carroll, three brothers, Hawatha, Clarence Taylor and George Carroll, and one sister, Josephine Carroll.
He is survived by his six children, Yolanda A. Powell (Walter), Melvin Carroll, and Troy Carroll of Chesapeake, Derrick Carroll, Kenny Carroll (Sharon) and Lisa Carroll of Norfolk; one brother, Elbert Taylor Jr. of Chesapeake; a very special friend, Adlean Stanford of Chesapeake, twenty five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held Monday at 1 pm in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Caver Cemetery. Viewing will be held Sunday from 12 - 5 pm at the funeral home.
