Virginia Beach – Theodore Branch Rich, of the 200 block of Weller Blvd departed this life August 24, 2011. Born in Falls Church, Virginia, he retired as a longshoreman from ILA Local 1248 in Norfolk.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Norma McNair Rich; one son, Preston B. Rich of Frisco, TX; two daughters, Norma Alicia and Jennifer Rich of Glenn Dale, MD; one grandson, Preston Rich II of Frisco, TX; three brothers, four sisters; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark United Church of Christ. Viewing will held Wednesday from 3pm – 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will be held 12:00 pm, Friday at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park, Annandale, Virginia. You may offer condolences to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com. The family will meet at the funeral home the day of the service at 10:00 a. for the processional to the church.
