Una Rosa (Rose) Sockwell passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Sockwell of New York.  She was a loving and devoted mother to Angela Archer, Anthony Atherley, Cyralene Roberts, Linda Wright, Katherine Monde and Raymond Atherley; grandsons Dale Archer and Jesse Monde; great-grandsons Na'Keem and Gag, and godchildren Wilmesha and William. She was a cherished sister of Mary, John, Audrey, Janice and Jackie, and aunt of Nicole, Jeanel, Antoine, Chantal and Cherise.  She was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church of Chesapeake, where she served as a Missionary and was a friend to all.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 26 ^th at New Mount Olive Baptist Church, 662 Fernwood Farms Rd, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 10AM to 12PM.  Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
