Chesapeake , Virginia – Vegina Chickita McCoy, 45, of the 8200 block of Winstead Place departed this life December 28, 2008. She was a registered nurse employed with the VA Hospital in Washington, DC, and she was formerly employed with Prince William County for over 12 years as a social worker. She was a member of the Upper Room Christian Cathedral, where she served in the Health Ministry. Also, she attended the Christian Bible Institute.

She is predeceased by her parents, Igenter and Marjorie McCoy. Survivors include her sisters, Kathleen D. McCoy of Chesapeake and Angela Holloway (Ray) of Georgia; one brother, Igenter W.L. McCoy, Jr. (Rafaela) of Chesapeake, nine aunts, ten uncles, three nieces, six nephews, a host of relatives and friends.
