Before Rona was formed in her mother's womb, God decided that on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, she would be called home. Verona Mae Eason, "Rona" as she was so fondly called by many, was the sixth child born to the late Arthur and Laura Eason on November 20, 1954. She was predeceased by three brothers, Irvin, Arthur, and Donald.

Beautiful memories of Rona will always be cherished by her son, SFC(P) Dentron Eason (Ft. Bragg, NC) and her Grandson, Xavier Eason (Durham, NC). These two were the ABSOLUTE JOY OF HER LIFE! Also left to cherish fond memories is her long-time friend, Alonzo "Bo" Ricks. The most wonderful memories of Rona will be cherished by her baby brother Eddie Eason (Claudine) (Milwaukee, WI) and more of a brother than a cousin, Rev. Edward Wilson (Teresa). She leaves her two sisters who stayed by her side until the very end, Jacqueline Eason Wilson and Sarah Eason Williams (Melvin) (Chesapeake, VA). Rona leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and so many cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at First Baptist Church South Hill,3633 Galberry Road, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
