Portsmouth
- Vicki J. Hawkins, 55, of the 1600 block of Belafonte Drive entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Born in Norfolk, she was a Registered Nurse.



Vicki served a tour in the U.S. Air Force. Later she went on to work at and retire from Portsmouth Naval Hospital. She was a member of First Trinity A.M.E. Church, where he served on the Steward Board, Finance Committee, Lay Organization, Missionary Society, Pastor's Aid, a member of the Church Choir and as the Secretary of the Church.



She is predeceased by her father, Herman L. Hawkins, Sr. Survivors include her son, Derek E. Hawkins of Portsmouth; mother, Joyce Mamie Wilson Hawkins of Chesapeake; three brothers, Herman Lee Hawkins, Jr. (Joyce B.) of Suffolk, Michael Dean Hawkins (Bernice) and Victor Boyd Hawkins of Chesapeake; one sister, Joyce Ann Hawkins of Arlington, VA; two aunts, Annie Wilson and Shirley Robinson (Walter)of Chesapeake; two uncles, Eugene Hawkins (Trudy) of Suffolk, and Wilbert Hawkins (Shirley) of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at First Trinity A.M.E. Church, 1301 Elco Street, Chesapeake with Pastor Gilbert Harper, Sr., presiding. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 2pm – 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will be receive friends from 6pm – 7pm at the funeral home.
