Chesapeake – Viola Smith Griffin, 85, of the 500 block of Fernwood Farm Road was called home to be with the Lord October 20, 2010. Born in Chesapeake, she was predeceased by her son, Frederick L. Griffin.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Griffin, son, Albert Lee Griffin, Jr. (Margie), sisters, Vivian Brickhouse and Beulah Haskins (Joseph) all of Chesapeake; five granddaughters, two grandsons, seventeen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday at New Galilee Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Sunday from
