Chesapeake - Violette Cecelia White, 62, of the 3000 block of Fireside Road departed this life December 23, 2011. Born in Norfolk, she was employed at the Salvation Army for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of The Salvation Army Ministry, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and a Home League Member.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Lee White, Sr.; two daughters, Benita Morris (Henry) of Maryland and Katrina Walker of Chesapeake; a foster daughter, Brenda Buggs (Reginald) of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Juanita Fuller of Chesapeake and Natalie Cuffee of Norfolk; one brother, Ronald Fuller of Norfolk; six grandchildren; a special niece, Kenisha Fuller of Chesapeake, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at The Salvation Army. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
