Norfolk - On December 30, 2006, God dispatched his angel down to receive our mother, sister, and grandmother, Virginia Manley Burfoot better known as ?Jennie.?



Jennie was born to the late Frank Manley and Mollie Manley. She was educated in the public school system of Chesapeake (South Norfolk).



Jennie leaves to cherish her memory, five sons, Patrick (Beatrice), Terry and Victor Wilkins (Jackie), Tyrone Bray and Jacob Bray; her husband, Shane Burfoot; six sisters, Dorothy, Velma, Carolyn, Olivia, Delois, and Thomasine; four brothers, Herman Manley, Larry, Lionell and John Spruill, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.



Homegoing services for Jennie will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph A.M.E. Church with Pastor Bristol Elliott, officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
