IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wallace Edward
Riddick
October 26, 1953 – May 2, 2023
Wallace Edward Riddick was lifted from earth on May 2, 2023, to find rest and peace with his heavenly father. He was born on October 26, 1953, to Willie Essie and William Henry Riddick in Chesapeake County, VA. who preceded him in death.
Wallace attended Crestwood High School. "Bro" as he was affectionally called enjoyed bowling, throwing horseshoes, cooking for his family, listening to old time gospel music, and had a green thumb for gardening. He joined Chesapeake Christian Center in 2001 where he worshipped until his illness. He was a good husband and caretaker. He will be missed greatly.
Wallace worked as a concrete finisher for more than 30 years. He was a family man that loved his daughters. He was married to the love of his life Patricia Riddick for 21 years. He had great plans for his grands and great grandchildren that he loved dearly. He never met a stranger. He loved everybody. During football season, you can find him watching and rooting for the Washington Redskins/Commanders wearing his favorite colors.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Patricia Riddick; three daughters Letitia Boone- Williams (Ricky), Angela Stuckey (Chris), and Diana Boone (Nicholas), and one adopted daughter Kimberly Boney (Daryl); four sisters Rosetta Harvey (William), Patricia Vaughn (Michael), Jennette Diggs (Charlie), and Patsy Vinson; one brother Linwood Riddick (Cleopatra); 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law Helena Gray (Michael), Lesley Powell, and Melba Pepper; 2 brothers-in-law Neville Trotman (Veronica), and Clinton Powell (Brenda); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service wil be held 11:00 am Friday, May 12, 2023 at Chesapeake Christian Center, 301 Liberty Street, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapake.
