Waverly Leon Wilson, 88, of the 800 block of Monroe Ct. departed this life April 6, 2013. Born in Norfolk, he was employed at the Norfolk Naval Air Station until his retirement. He served in the US Navy and was a Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony D. Wilson (Constantine) of Virginia Beach and Winston Scott Wilson, Sr. (Julianna) of Temple Hill, Maryland; one daughter, Faye Wilson of Virginia Beach; thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 3-7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com
