Willard Perry,
Jr.
January 3, 1950 – August 12, 2023
Willard Perry Jr. Known as (Jack) of Chesapeake Virginia, sadly, departed this world peacefully on August 12, 2023, in his home after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving wife (Cheryl Perry) and a host family. He was known for his infectious smile and humble nature. Willard Perry jr. grew up in South Norfolk and graduated from Carver HS and attended Norfolk State. He was a drill sergeant in the US Army Reserve (Retired), Naval Station, Mechanic (retired) and Juvenile counselor (retired) City of Norfolk. He belonged to First Baptist South Hill Church and was a proud member of the "Sons of Thunder" Chior. Left behind to mourn his death is his (wife) Cheryl Perry, children as follows, Willard Perry III, (Little-Jack) Miasha Perry, Jasmine Moore and Gabrielle Moore. Grandchildren, Jada Perry, Kamielle Giana Perrin, Koryn Damaia Perrin, Autumn and Victoria Sanders and Jazae Perry. Preceded in death as follows: (parents) Willard
Perry Sr, Mother Evelyn Amelia Perry, (Sister,) Carolyn Elizabith Osborne, (Brother) Ricky Gregory Sr. His surviving siblings are as follows: Myra Evans, (Spouse) Deleno Evans, Rosa Rawls (spouse Roland Rawls preceded in death, Eugene (Tic) (Spouse) Dortha Perry, Chris Perry, Patrick (Benny) (spouse) Freda Perry, Gina Moss (Spouse) James Moss and Pandy Perry along with a host of Nephews and Nieces and cousin.
His memory will be cherished forever. Corinthian 5 1-21 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.
There will be a grave side military service on August 21, 2023 at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veteran Cemetery at 1:00PM sharp, located at 5310 Milner's Rd., Suffolk, VA, 23443. Following the service, there will be a repass for immediate family and members of the "Sons of Thunder Choir" at First Baptist South Hill,3633 Galberry Rd, Chesapeake, VA, 23323. Family request no flowers.
