Virginia Beach – William Jason Francis, 32, of the 4000 block of Old Forge Road departed this life February 5, 2009. Born in New York City, he was a member of Vessels of Honor Christian Center where he served as a Deacon, Usher, Intercessor and Prayer Warrior.

He is predeceased by his father, William Francis. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn A. Francis of Virginia Beach, a brother, Christopher W. Francis (Tamicka) of Virginia Beach; half brother, William Francis Jr. of Richmond; two stepbrothers, Jamie Moody and Joel Moody (Jennette) of Richmond; grandfather, Waymon Talley of South Carolina; one aunt, three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will be held 2pm 7pm Friday at the funeral home, where the family will meet and greet friends from 5pm- 7 pm.
