Portsmouth – Willie Dance Burden Jr., affectionately known as "Danny Boy", 73, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, October 9, 2014. He was a member of First Baptist Church Southhill. He was predeceased by his parents, Willie D. Burden Sr. and Nellie S. Burden.

Left to cherish his fond memories forever include his wife, Geraldine Burden, daughter, Rhonda Parker, one step-son, Antoine Hilliard, two sisters, Nancy Elliott and Brenda Miller, two brothers, James Burden and Sonny Owens, grandchildren, Crystal Parker and Webster Parker Jr., and two aunts Florida Ruth Bazemore and Louise Boyd, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at First Baptist Church Southhill. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
