Norfolk - Willie Joseph Johnson, 58, of the 1800 block of Greenleaf Drive departed this life June 1, 2008 in the VA Hospital, Hampton. Born in Norfolk, he was employed with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid Atlantic, Norfolk as a Moble Equipment Servicer for 28 years until his retirement.  He served in the United States Marine Corps.



He is predeceased by his parents Elouise Williams Johnson and Samuel Joseph Johnson. Survivors include his wife Marshiel Johnson, daughter, Tara G. Johnson, and son Wille J. Johnson, Jr. all of Norfolk; two sisters, Barbara Williams of Norfolk and Earlean Shell of Portsmouth; one brother, Edward Johnson of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will be held Thursday from 2 pm - 7 pm at the funeral home.
