Obituary
Chesapeake – Sarah Edmonds-Franklin of the 5100 block of Neal Street died December 22, 2008. Born to the late William and Eva Edmonds, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Booker T. and Dennis Edmonds, and two sisters, Margaret Richardson, and Addie Smaw.
She was the widow of James "Frank" Franklin II. From this union were born three sons, William and Carl Franklin of Virginia Beach, and James Franklin III of Waldorf, Md., and a daughter, Nadeese White Moore (Clarence) of Chesapeake.
She leaves to cherish her memory four brothers, Melvin (Rosa), Raymond (Betty), and Luther Edmonds (Sherry), and James Peterson of Norfolk; four sisters, Reva Lambert and Barbara Jean Edmonds of Norfolk, Marion Harvey and Eva Robinson of Chesapeake, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Sunday from 12:00 p.m. – 5p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
