Houston, Texas - Winford (Jay) Gospel Felton III, 24, of the 300 block of Airtex Drive passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007.
He joined Christian Home Baptist Church where he was baptized before leaving Chesapeake. He attended Deep Creek High School before entering the Potomac Job Corps Center in Washington, D.C. where he earned his High School Diploma and Plumber Apprentice in 2003. Jay then returned to Chesapeake, VA and worked as a Plumber for W. H. McCutcheon Plumbing & Contracting Inc. in VA Beach, VA. Staying true to his ambition to live his life to the fullest, Jay moved to Houston, TX in 2005. There he attended Universal Technical Institute and studied Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Ruby Felton, his father, Winford G. Felton II, two sisters, Tifany Lewis (Brian), and Teena Felton. A fiancée Kristen Whitley, two grandmothers, Annie Whaff, Edith Meade; a grandfather, Winford G. Felton Sr., two aunts, Bridget Lister ( Timmy) and Gloria Sivels ( Marquis), two uncles, Louis Gallop ( Arlethia) and Melvin Gallop ( Irish) and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Christian Home Baptist Church, 326 Tull Creek Road, Moyock, NC. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday 2pm ? 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
